The Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, Chief Yemi Sanusi has commiserated with the family of the late Professor Akin Ogunpola who passed away on Monday. The Chairman in a statement on Wednesday said the late chief Ogunpola lived a worthy life.
According to the statement, ” He served our state with the fullest of his strength and energy. He was an outstanding Commissioner of Education whose tenure established many primary and secondary schools and the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University.
To the glory of God and Chief Ogunpola’s honour, all these legacies are monumental, functional and will remain evergreen in the annals of education in Ogun State”.
Chief Sanusi added that the late Ogunpola ” was an astute politician, a committed community leader and a resourceful educationists that has left his names on the sand of time.
”But our solace is in the fact that Chief Ogunpola grew old and had enormous achievements before he transited to the bosom of the Lord.
May the Lord gives the family of Late Chief Akin Ogunpola, the political class and the entire state the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
May his soul rest in Perfect Peace!
